We Love Pinterest :)

Garren and I LOVE DIY projects. Our apartment is full of them from our end tables to our dresser to our kitchen table! Pinterest has become our newest addictions. We have found awesome recipes, I made the cutest wreath from a pin on there, and now we have made Kyle and Tisha's wedding present from an idea we found on there!

We bought some fairly cheap glasses at Wal*mart, rubber bands, Frost spray paint, and some stickers. And Voila! Beautiful personalized glasses! Here are the before and afters :)

I hope they like them!! :) (Their reception is tonight... so there is no way they will see this first! ha ha )

6 months!

I am a horrible blogger... which is weird. I use to be a GREAT blogger. I will be better. Its my November 14th resolution.

Any way we have officially been married for 6 months now! That seems crazy to me.

I asked Garren what his favorite thing about being married and he said, "Always having some one there." Presh right?

Being married to my best friend is amazing. I love knowing I always have some one there to listen to me vent, and make me laugh so hard I cry.

I will post more soon!

We are hosting Thanksgiving! AH

Good News For the Allreds :)

Northfeild Village!

We have had a week full of good news! First we got scholarship housing all figured out! Which means come August 16th we get to move into a TWO bedroom TWO bathroom apartment and only have to pay 115 a month! Seriously. Its basically triple the size of our current apartment (which I do love... its just too small!)

Last week I interviewed at the hospital for a registrar position! Guess who got a job offer today? ME! Yay! Its so much better pay, and will be much better for us. My sweet wonderful husband got me flowers to celebrate :)

We have less than a month till our honeymoon!

Garren's Birthday/Becoming Domestic

This is the band!
So Garren's 22 birthday was last Friday. It was one of the best days ever! First I made him a yummy breakfast and gave him his present. It's a Fossil Watch. He has been saying he needs a watch for months and every time he brings it up I tell him he doesn't  need one... only because I have been planning on getting him one for just as long. Basically he thought I was really rude for telling him he didn't need it :P

Any way then HE game ME a present. What the heck! Ha ha He is so funny. I was definitely suprised. He got me gorgeous pearl earings and a rose gold band that I can wear to work so I don't have to wear my wedding ring (I am afraid the pearl is getting beat up.)

After we got ready for the day we went down to St. George. Our first stop was the temple where we had the opportunity to do sealings. This was the first time we have done this since getting married (or since ever..) it was amazing. Knowing we were helping families be together forever was so fullfilling. I love going to the temple, especially with my Husband.

Then we went to Lazer Mania and played Lazer Tag and Miniature Golf. This was the first time I have ever played lazer tag, it was only the two of us in the whole place and it was SO fun. I was actually kind of scared.... he beat me but not by tooo much :) He beat me in miniature golf too but thats ok because look at this sick picture I got!
There was a spiderman themed hole :)

Then we went back to Cedar to his parents house to eat the ice cream cake I made. It was completely out of scratch... and quite the challenge but it turned out great!

Side note: Tonight my relief society made the cutest wreaths! Here is mine :)

Married For 6 Weeks!

Lasagna I made!
We have officially been married for 6 weeks. When I said this to Garren he said "One transfer!" Love him. We have gotten into a pretty good routine of balancing our jobs and time with each other. We are basically amazing cooks :) We go grocery shopping ever Saturday and have an entire weeks full of meals planned. We also go on a date every week. We didn't even do that when we were dating or engaged. I love it. I love being married to my best friend.

Tostadas that Garren made!
Last night we went to the Utah Summer Games opening. We were so close to the fireworks I was almost scared. They were amazing! I have been sick this week and Garren has seriously risen to the occasion. He has been so amazing at taking care of me, and forcing me to take it easy. Its so weird. After being on my own for 4 years, its a strange feeling having some one WANT to take care of you. I am constantly apologizing to him for all he has had to do, and I am pretty sure if I try to say sorry one more time he will tickle me to death (that is his threat.) I think I am getting better and letting some one help me though. Progress :)
Us at the Summer Games Opening!

Mara taught me how to make a pillow today! This is my very first one. Now I want a sewing machine more than anything. Why must my birthday and Christmas be in December?! Oh well I will just use Mara's till December!
My first Pillow :)

I just asked Garren how he feels about being married and he said " Fantastic, its wonderful, a challenge."

I am not exactly sure what he meant by that last part :P

We are throwing my sister a baby shower tomorrow. By we I mean Garren is cooking food for it. He got really into planning it. I am seriously the luckiest woman in the world :)

May 7th Reception Day!

Our "HIstory in the Making" and "Beach Boardwalk" Theme :)
I am so glad we decided to do our reception the next day! I would have been dead if we had tried to do it all in one day. The place we ended up having the reception turned out to be perfect and was everything I ever dreamed it would be!

We had our boardwalk, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, a bounce house, and DELICIOUS bbq. It was a little windy... as was the day before, but you cant control that! I am so glad we got to celebrate with all our friends and family. We truly are blessed with amazing families. Every one pitched in so well to make our day PERFECT. I couldn't ask for any more. If you want to see the rest of our reception pictures click here!

Temple Day - Sealed for Time and Eternity

First kiss outside of the temple!
Well we have officially been married for 12 days now! Life couldn't be better! Being married to your best friend is amazing. I wish I could remember more about the actual day of our wedding or that I had written it down that day but I will do my best to be brief ...

May 6, 2011

Best day of my entire existence. I woke up around 9 feeling calm and completely ready to be sealed to Garren. The day progressed rather lazily until we decided Mara and Kendra should do my hair. Yeah should have done that a lot earlier. That was the only stressful part of the day. When Garren came to pick me up to go to the Temple I had MAJOR butterflies. Seriously they were multiplying within my stomach.

We got to the temple signed our major license, got dressed and then we were waiting to get hitched. The moment I knelt across from him everything else disappeared. Nothing else mattered. For all I knew we were the only ones existing in the world. Yes I realize how corny this all is, but guess what it was our wedding day of course this is going to be corny! Before I knew it we were married! The entire ceremony was beautiful!

Garren looked so handsome, I am one lucky girl. Any way coming out of the temple and seeing all our friends and family was wonderful. We took pictures and then had a wonderful lunch! The day could not have been more perfect.

I love being married, and I love being Larissa Lynn Allred

The Engagement Story :)

So we finally got to go snowshoeing! We headed up the mountain at around noon. Not going to lie. I hated snowshoeing at first. I couldn't do it. I already am not the most coordinated person in the world so it was super awkward at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. We hiked 2 miles completely up hill. Not going to lie at one point I seriously considered laying down in the snow and telling him to go on with out me. He was incredibly patient and encouraging to me the entire time. I feel like I can do anything when he is supporting me. I always make fun of him for being impatient while driving or in other circumstances but when it comes to me he is the most patient man in the world. :) Any way getting to the top was MORE than worth it. The view was breath taking. One of the mostbeautiful views I have ever seen. We ate lunch and then I joked with Garren that I deserved a trophy or something for making it . He agreed and told me he had a prize. He made me close my eyes... and eventually, let me open them. When I did he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring and asked me tomarry him. I think I said yes like a hundred times or something. I maybe cried a little bit. Thank heavens for sun glasses :P My hands were too cold to take my mittens off so I had to wait till we hiked back down the two miles to put my ring on. Talk about making me work for it! So worth it.

I love him so much, and can hardly wait to marry him for time and all eternity. I adore his family and am so excited to be apart of it. I really am amazingly blessed.
